Clash Fitzgerald
Born 1982 Works and resides in Los Angeles
Entering the world on the cusp of a new era, Clash Fitzgerald has drawn inspiration from simplistic eras past and the dregs of our modern society. Teetering between fine art and social exploitation, he has crossed the threshold and has no intentions of looking back.
While aesthetically pleasing, his work is also a daring look in to the face of cultural excess and perversion. With an innate sense of irony and a daring penchant for satire, the artist funnels the frustration of media saturation and information overload in to pop art pieces that would make Warhol proud. His current series, Weapons of Mass Production, invokes the spirit of debauchery and overabundance so prevalent in our daily lives.
Using existing shapes and images to create post-apocalyptic landscapes, the artist redefines the pop genre to reflect the desolate scenery of the new American Way.
