Born & raised in Salem, Oregon...I have been beading since I was 15 years old. I am primarily self-taught, picking up inspiration from the many styles around me and creative ways to create something new. My beadwork has morphed many times over the years and I'm always curious to see what will come next. I'm particularly fond of custom creations and commissions, so if you want something made...email me. My art has, in recent years, gone beyond just beads, but into leather and stones and metal also. I am constantly traveling to shows and festivals mostly on the west coast and Tucson gem show yearly, and I have recently (Jan'08) settled some roots in Humboldt County, California. Near to the redwoods, this misty and mystical place holds a gentle peace in my heart. New things have transpired from the inspiration and respiration of these trees and ocean winds. here's some new things.

I love to paint. I love mixing colors and being able to match anything. From furniture to faces, to canvas and cardboard....
I've been painting a lot of faces at festivals for years, but not a lot of surfaces besides skin. Moving to Hawaii instantly got my creative juices flowin' and I have been painting every day since I got here. Here's the projects I've got going...finished and unfinished.

I started beading when I was 15 yrs old and have moved through many styles and mediums. I started doing Peyote Stitch around 1998, and then discovered Miyuki Delicas around 2000. I was hooked! The sheer workability of the beads inspired creation after creation and only a few pieces were able to be photo-ed before going off to various homes. Some pieces are still available.

I transitioned about 2 years ago from mostly peyote stitch to mostly gemstone jewelry. Since then I have learned an incredible amount about stones...names, properties, formations, healing properties. All while realizing it's just not possible to know it all!

Metal hammering is a Brand New medium I've been playing with a bit. Here's the first two pieces I did. The wand sold within a week!
