This collection showcases my recent adventures in hat making. One draw back to being a dread-head is that all of a sudden it is much harder to find hats to fit over one's knotty head. Therefore I set out on a mission to transform funky old skirts, jackets etc. into fantastic new hats and in the process found another obsession... |

The Neck-Tie collection (and my obsession with recycled ties) began a few years ago when I was inspired by a friend's Dad who had made his mother a neck-tie skirt back in 70's. My first try at a skirt ended up being a gown as I realized the legnth of old ties was perfect for a full gown. Since then I have been making tie hats, purses, skirts, bodices, capes and using them to embellish everything from jeans to tux's. All are available in many colours and sizes and I also do custom work (recently I've done numerous grad dresses.) |

Nicole (aka the Neck-Tie Avenger) lives in the beautiful mountains of the Kootneys in BC, Canada. She is a textile artist and designer, who creates one of a kind clothing using second-hand and recycled materials. She specializes in funky, retro inspired clothing and harbours an obsession to neck-ties.
