My work consists mainly of bold, funky colours and striking combinations which encompass raw, deep texture and smooth shimmery surfaces. Experimenting has been the main reason why I enjoy making art. I'm constantly trying to find original designs and ways to apply the paint.

I can't really explain what influences me, everything from my dreams to the natural world, landscape vistas to microcosms of detail. It all seeps in, becomes fragmented and collects itself, forming shapes and colours upon my canvases.

I studied art at A-level and continued my studies in Manchester, completing a foundation course and a degree in fine Art, graduating in June 2003. It was then when I set up Myriapod On-line art gallery - www.myriapod.co.uk
Bular
Vibrant and unusual, 'Bular' is an original piece of contemporary art. Achieved by using both acrylic and spray paint applied to a contemporary, deep, box canvas.

Zest
Exciting, funky and bold. Dare to be different with 'Zest'. This three foot long deep, box canvas is not for modest walls! Velvet blue sweeps across one end of the canvas and bursts of citrus colour reach out into the cool white background.

Capulet's Ball
This colourful piece is achieved by using both acrylic and spray paint applied to canvas. This painting looks vibrant and eye catching with its beautiful blue dancing shapes. This painting looks fantastic displayed against a blue wall.

Chiyo Chan
This colourful piece is achieved by using both acrylic and spray paint. This painting was painted at the time I was reading 'Memoirs of a Geisha' and reminded me of the delicate kimono patterns described in the book.

Chocolate Square
This painting would compliment a room with neutral tones. 'Chocolate Square' would look good as a focal point, above a sofa or mantel or even in a bedroom setting displayed above the bed.

The Last Forest
'The Last Forest' depicts a lonely tree, cast in moonlight, contemplating its fate as the night draws in. The leaves in this painting are metallic gold flecks which reflect the light wonderfully.

Salusa Red
'Salusa Red' is the perfect blend of reds, creams and rich browns. 'Salusa Red' would look good as a focal point, above a sofa or mantel or even in a bedroom setting displayed above the bed.
