So we just found out that my wife Shelly is pregnant. It was on April fools day, so that was fun to let our families know. I am so excited! Yesterday I made our child's first gift. I will probably give it to him/her when they are out of highschool or something like that. I'll be able to say that I made it for them the day after I found out we were going to have them. It was fun to make it. I used it as a chance to really meditate on what it will be like to be a father and how much of a gift it is. So I put a lot of good energy into this piece.
There are a few things wrong with it that I decided not to fix. For one, everyone has a few problems, it adds character. And another reason is that when I was getting towards the end, two racoons started fighting (or making crazy rough love) above my shop in a storage loft. I ran out and dealt with them. Now it will become part of the story that goes along with the glass.
So I hope you like it. I've never done a Goddess style before, but I think it turned out alright. So cheers to all of the great parents out there raising great kids. I can't wait to experience the magic of discovering what this world is all about again.

Seriously, who would Jesus Bomb?
Politics and Religion in one marble. Well I guess they do go hand in hand.
This is a big 2 3/4 in. marble. On the inside it has Jesus and Satan facing off with flames licking at their feet and heads.
On the back is the very serious question of "Who would Jesus bomb?"

love your work, in response to your question on my cups, I study at massart mostly(as far as goblets are concerned) under Chris Watts.

All of your work amazes and inspires me. I've talked to a few glass artists and I have much respect for them. The detail in your pieces (the eyes mostly) makes me want to reach out and touch them.
