New York had Apples, Chicago had Cows, Portland had Lighthouses, now Mt. Washington Valley (New Hampshire) has snowmen. 17 of them to be exact. This is mine, obviously. On it are painted some of the Valley's most recognizable features - The Train Station at Schueler Park; N. Conway's Main St.; Cathedral and Whitehorse Ledges; Cranmore Ski area; and, of course, Mt. Washington.

Proportional Representation

Proportional Representation

(VictorStan)
A print project exploring the political issue of proportional representation and the idea of personal involvement in the democratic process. Appropriating Barbara Krueger's poster style with a manipulated found image of protesters holding blank pickets. There are rip-off tabs with the current Canadian prime minister, Stephen Harper and his office's phone number. Again, playing with the idea of a simpler and more direct access to the democratic decision making process.

Thanks for the Add!

(VictorStan)
Exploring ideas of space, public space and digital space. Spaces that people use for social purposes. With the popularity of the community website MySpace.com and similar projects, versus public "real" spaces, and a person's ability to instantly add "friends"; and the common use of "thanks for the add" or similar phrases that affirm acceptance of "friendship" requests.

Nine ta Five

This peice is about my recent struggle to support myself and all my addictions through mundane, pointless, mindnumbing day-jobs... I think almost everyone can relate... so I did a street art project about this in West Philly to keep myself part of a mechanism that is still working against the mind-fuck industry.
Hold Det Gade

Hold Det Gade

(JimG)
I did some street art installations over the summer in Copenhagen and Amsterdam, here are some photos of the figures I did from drawings while there, as well as some of the people around the cities. The faces and figures had a mechanical energy as I am becoming more interested in culture as a mechanical form, visually. Hold Det Gade is danish for Keep it Street.
