The Chess Set Gallery
(

)
The game of Chess has been around for hundreds of years, usually played with the same type of 'boring' dinky little pieces on dinky little boards.
My Original Themes will turn the chess world on its ear.

Dark Heart Art
(
CarrieChrisman
)
Created with what is at hand and the blood from my heart and soul.
I really like using what is at arms length or what is seen with a quick glance around the room I'm working in. 20oz plastic pop bottle top cut off at the neck then cut into halfs is a favorite of mine to use for the main valve at the top of some of the hearts. Anything from plaster, gauze, tolet paper, pen parts, tubes, plastic wrap, candles and or wax I've been known to use to make these pieces. Spider heart is one of my more intense darker works created with the despair which became too much for this one soul to hold at one time I could have held it in until I drowned but I knew even then I'd still come spilling out so with my hands I poured what I had inside out

finally finished the hanging box for this, will eventually have recessed lighting permenently installed inside but didn't photo well with it. Flameworked, sandblasted and oil stained glass, hammered and riveted steel
about 3' high or so, enjoy!
The Birdhouse
(

Some recent found object sculpture work that deals with the idea of a disposable culture and the living entities within objects. Much of the material is salvaged from different abandonded buildings and unoccupied spaces.
